| 19 on Paper in the Gallery… | | | | | 19 on Paper Summer Newsletter 2023 Volume 4 Second Edition | | Formed in 1986, 19 on Paper is a group of New England artists who create works of art on or with paper, which we exhibit as a group. | | | | LORRAINE BROMLEY
Painting touched Lorraine in her early years growing up in Cranston, RI. A Bachelor of Arts from RI College majoring in the Studio Arts of Graphic Design, Painting and Photography.
A graphic designer in her own company, Lorraine Designs and 10 years at Johnson & Wales University. But watercolor was the medium that lead her to study exclusively as a fine artist and photography, always the driving force for reference and delight when traveling the world. Two careers simultaneously as designer and watercolorist.
She experiments occasionally in printmaking and collage combining them with watercolors in nature inspired pieces and teaches techniques in watercolor for art associations, privately, and in continuing education venues.
Lorraine has won many awards for her landscaped watercolors as she enjoys painting plein-air. She also participates in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout the region. She is an artist member in RI Watercolor Society, Providence Art Club and Spring Bull Gallery.
Lorraine lives with her husband (who is also an artist) in Warwick, RI on Buckeye Brook working in their gardens. View Lorraine’s work… |

SHARON D. EISMAN
I am inspired by much that surrounds me including: nature, words, experiences, color and shape, as well as marks and textures created by a variety of tools, mediums, and surfaces both traditional and unique.
I enjoy the process of creating work that incorporates my varied art background and the opportunity to express that which inspires me through the calligraphic stroke, the drawn or painted image, or the melding of mediums.
As a multifarious artist, I will always experiment with traditional and non-traditional lettering, drawing and painting materials, exploring an unlimited variety of mark-making tools, mediums, and styles, as each provides unique possibilities in the calligraphic arts (both traditional and abstract), painting, drawing and mixed media work. All an exciting addition to my long history of fine pen work, detailed drawing and painting.
Sharon’s artist memberships include: Elected Artist of Art League Rhode Island, Artist Member of Rhode Island Watercolor Society, Warwick Center for the Arts, and Juried Artist Member Wickford Art Association.
She is also a member of IAMPETH; International Association of Masterpenman, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting, Masscribes; a New England based Calligraphy Organization, and ISEA (International Society of Experimental Artists).
Her work has been published, and has been exhibited in RI, MA, CT, NY and Salzburg, Austria. A 2012 commission now resides at the Peace Palace, The Hague, the Netherlands. View Sharon’s work…..

Do you like the art you see?
Great! As a group, we lease our art and sell our portfolios. We would be happy to talk with you about how we can provide high-quality art in your residential or corporate environment. Additionally, all our group activities complement and enhance the exhibiting, publishing, licensing and selling activities that we do as individual artists.
Are you interested in joining 19 on Paper?
Based on the group’s size and composition, we invite artists to be members. After an informal discussion about interests and expectations, those invited are asked to share a representative set of their paper-based work, a resume highlighting their artistic experience, and any other material that could assist with the group’s membership decision. Since we value exchange, collaboration, and continuity, consistent participation in our monthly meetings and group activities is an important membership commitment.
